Wheel of Fortune

Upright

cycles, fate, turning point

The wheel turns: change is arriving, often in your favour. Move with it.

Reversed

resisting change, bad luck, repeating cycles

A cycle repeats or luck seems to turn against you. Notice the pattern so you can break it.

Symbolism

Wheel of Fortune shows a great wheel floating in the sky, inscribed with letters and alchemical symbols. A sphinx holding a sword sits on top; on one side the jackal-headed figure of Anubis rises with the turn, while on the other a serpent slides down. In the four corners, among the clouds, an angel, an eagle, a lion and a bull read from open books. In the 1909 art, everything is in motion: what rises will fall, and what falls will rise again.

In general

Wheel of Fortune is the card of cycles. It shows up when something is shifting into a new phase, often unexpectedly: a turning point, an opportunity out of nowhere, a situation that finally gets unstuck. It's about luck, fate and the natural motion of life, which never stands still. Most of the time, it signals a change for the better. Reversed, it points to a cycle that's stuck: a run of bad luck, resisting a change that's coming anyway, or the feeling of living the same story over and over.

Yes or no

Wheel of Fortune turns in your favor: yes. Things are shifting, and the tide is turning your way. Reversed, the answer is maybe: what's out of your hands still has to turn.

In love

In a love reading, Wheel of Fortune points to a turning point: an unexpected meeting, a relationship entering a new phase, or someone from your past coming back.

If you're in a relationship, it speaks of a new chapter together, whether that's a step up or a needed adjustment. If you're single, the Wheel asks you to stay open: chance is on your side, and someone may show up when you least expect it.

Reversed, it points to repeating patterns, missed connections, or a phase that's taking too long to pass.

As feelings

As feelings, Wheel of Fortune means something is shifting: this person feels you met for a reason, and their feelings could grow suddenly. Reversed, the feelings are unstable, coming and going with circumstances.

At work

At work, Wheel of Fortune often points to sudden opportunities: an offer, a change of department, a project that finally takes off. It's time to ride the momentum. Reversed, it warns of temporary setbacks and asks for patience until the wheel turns again.

With money

With money, Wheel of Fortune points to an improvement, often an unexpected one: extra income, a lucky deal. But everything moves in cycles, so it's wise to save while times are good. Reversed, it shows a tight stretch that will pass.

In family and friendship

In family and friendship, the Wheel brings new chapters: births, moves, reunions, someone coming back into your life. Reversed, it shows old conflicts that keep repeating until someone breaks the cycle.

On the personal path

On a personal level, Wheel of Fortune asks you to accept that life comes in seasons and to learn to move with them instead of clinging to what's already gone. Reversed, it invites you to notice which pattern you keep repeating.

Advice

As advice, Wheel of Fortune says: ride the turn. What's changing now may be exactly what you've been waiting for.
