The ritual
How it works
Four steps, at your own pace. No rush, no canned answers.
I
Ask
Tell the oracle what is on your mind: a doubt, a wish, a crossroads.
II
Choose your crystal
Three crystals appear for each reading. Follow your intuition: each one awakens a different deck.
III
Shuffle and cut
Your hands guide the deck. The oracle lays out a Celtic Cross, the classic ten-card spread.
IV
Receive your reading
Turn the cards one by one and get a reading written for your question.
About
A ritual, not an app.
Tarophia brings the tarot tradition into an unhurried digital experience: candlelight, silence, and attention to what you ask.
The cards are Pamela Colman Smith's original 1909 illustrations. The interpretation is written by artificial intelligence from the traditional meanings and your question.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know tarot?
No. The oracle guides every step, and every card you turn over explains what it means in its position.
Is the reading written by AI?
Yes. The interpretation is written by an artificial intelligence model from the cards' traditional meanings, the positions of the Celtic Cross and your question. The Yes or No reading doesn't use AI: the answer comes from the card you pick and what the oracle has written about it.
Are my questions saved?
Yes, in your account, and only you can see them. You can delete them at any time under “My readings”.
Can I redo a reading?
You can start a new reading whenever you like. The cards you drew are part of the answer, so a finished reading stays as it is. Each month, the first part of one reading is free.
Where do the cards come from?
They are Pamela Colman Smith's original illustrations for the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot, published in 1909 and now in the public domain.
Why choose a crystal?
Because the crystal chooses you, too. Three unnamed stones appear: go with your gut and touch the one that speaks to you. Only then does the oracle tell you which one it is. The crystal sets the tone of the reading (intuition, love, protection…) and lights the medallion on the back of your cards.
Does the reading predict the future?
Tarot shows tendencies and possible paths, not a fixed fate. Use the reading as a mirror to reflect on; the decisions are still yours.
